Mandala project

One day I felt inspired to collect sticks and leaves and other little things that the forest had to offer.

It was a stormy day, but that invitation was not to be ignored.

Freshly washed table cloth landed on the muddy ground, and my first mandala started to take shape.

When I finished, I knew this wasn’t going to be the last one.

On the last day of 2023 I collected crystals from around our house.

I adore them, their colours, translucence, their composition, origin.

Put together (on unscrewed cupboard doors out of better option) created, my favourite so far, mandala.

Some days I still want to pinch myself, I live by the sea! Walking distance from the beach. It’s a dream coming true for a girl who always loved the sea and grew up hundreds of miles away from it. I walk barefoot on the sand, collect sea glass, shells, rocks, I swim in the cold salty water.

Sea glass mandala came out of a playtime on New Year’s day of 2024.

I think I want to make another one on the sand, where the sea glass belongs.
