Notes:

• Each person will have up to 10 minutes to be photographed and 5 final photographs to choose from.

• I will take modern portraits of you, so your hands might show in the image, but your shoes won’t.

Best make up

The most important piece of advice here is to keep your make up mat: please avoid pearly, metallic products and glitter, as these products don’t photograph well in natural light. Please avoid strong contouring effect as this might look like bruising in photographs.

Best outfit for your headshots is one that:

• makes you feel really good and is compliant with HL dress code (below)

• doesn’t have strong, high contrast patterns or big logos

• avoids very thin stripes that create Moiré effect

HL dress code for photographs

We want you to feel comfortable for your photographs, but we would also like some degree of consistency across the photos for the website and other branded material. 

 We would ask you to wear business dress for the photographs, but ties and suit jackets are not required, unless you feel more comfortable wearing a tie and a suit jacket. 

 As Karolina states above, please avoid high contrast patterns and stripes, as this does not photograph well. 

 Please avoid t-shirts, polo shirts and anything with branding on it.
