1 day in Copenhagen

I got to spend one summer day in Copenhagen, and I loved every minute and every sight.

We (I and daughter) flew in the evening, stayed at Comfort Hotel at the Copenhagen Airport ( comfy and quiet) and in the morning we set to explore the city before flying back at night.

Centre of Copenhagen is very walkable, surprisingly inexpensive and the weather felt very familiar to a Scottish resident (cool and overcast in the morning, very heavy rain at noon, then dry, sunny and warm evening).

Following advice of the hotel receptionist we got off the metro at Nørreport (less than 20 minutes ride from the airport). It was a 2 minutes walk to the beautiful Botanic Garden with phenomenal Butterfly House, 2 minutes walk to the fantastic Food Market, 20 minutes walk to the colourful iconic Nyhavn. And a little further to the lego store:)

Whenever I go to visit a new place, I always wonder if it’s worth packing my rather heavy camera, and most of the time I do pack it, and then my shoulder hurts but my heart is content and grateful for having the photographs. I still take shots with my phone, especially when it’s raining.
